COIVD-19 Inspection Protocols

The safety, health, and well-being of our community is of the utmost importance to Jones-Warren Home Inspection Services. We understand that there are many concerns and we want to assure you that we are doing all that we can to protect clients, staff, homeowners, and partnering agents to prevent the spread of the disease.

In an effort to mitigate the risks associated with the Coronavirus (COVID-19), a respiratory illness that can spread from person to person, Jones-Warren has asked our staff and clients to do the following:

Precautions and Policies:

  • It is our strict policy that sick Employees and Clients, regardless of illness, stay home and not attend the inspection.

  • If an inspector arrives at a property where the occupants are sick or under self quarantine, for safety reasons, we will reschedule the inspection for the earliest possible date.

  • We are reminding our employees to cover their cough or sneeze with a tissue, limit touches to their face and wash hands often with soap and water for at least 30 seconds.

  • For all inspections, Jones-Warren staff will clean equipment and utilize hand sanitizer prior to entering premises and wear masks and gloves.

  • We continue to educate our staff on infection prevention and control measures. All of our inspectors have completed the InterNACHI (International Association of Certified Home Inspectors) COVID-19 Safety Guidelines for Home Inspectors Course

  • Clients will limit attendance at their inspection to only 2 people and they should be listed as Purchasers on the real estate contract. If the Client would like other people to attend the inspection, whether family members or other tradespeople, they must have their Agent onsite with them in order for these other parties to be present during the home inspection.

  • Client(s) will provide and wear their own personal protective equipment while inside the property which include the following: mask, gloves and hand sanitizer. We require that you sanitize your hands prior to putting on your mask and gloves and entering the property.

  •  If these protocols are not followed by the Client, we will stop the inspection and leave the premises unless we receive written permission from the Seller to conduct the inspection without the stated safety protocols. An additional inspection fee will be charged to re-schedule the inspection to another date and time.

As the coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to spread, we are closely watching for updates from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO) and we will continue to follow their recommendations.

We are committed to doing our part to keep you healthy and will continue to communicate any changes in services to you as quickly as possible.
